miso soup

[ad_1]

Fukumame purchased for Setsubun in February. Have you ever had the experience of not being able to eat all of your food and the expiration date has come?

“I want to eat every last delicious meal!” I researched and found that there are many different recipes.

In this article, I tried making one side dish and one dessert recipe!

Arrangement recipe for leftover lucky beans

This time I will make miso soup and marshmallow okoshi. I chose something that had few cooking steps and seemed easy to make.

How to make fukumame miso soup

Now, let’s start making miso soup! at you need to prepare is as follows.

[Things to prepare]

・Fukumame 25g

・1 carrot

・1 bag of shimeji mushrooms

・About 1.5 pieces of fried tofu

・Appropriate amount of chopped green onions

・Water 800ml to 1ℓ

・Miso (appropriate amount)

・Hondashi (appropriate amount)

The recipe is the same as making regular miso soup. Add the stock to the water and simmer the vegetables, starting with the ones that are slow to cook.

This time, I added 25g of fukumame at the same time as the fried tofu and shimeji mushrooms.

After a while, the lucky beans started to swell.

Boil for about 3 to 5 minutes, then add miso to taste and it’s done.

en I put it in a bowl and tried it…

It has a texture similar to natto and is filling, so it’s like a slurping miso soup!

Although the hard fukumame has become soggy and soft, it has a presence that rivals the other ingredients.

You may want to adjust the cooking time to suit your preferred texture.

How to make fukumame marshmallow okoshi

The next thing I tried was making fukumame marshmallows, which are perfect for a snack. at you need to prepare is as follows.

Fruit granola can also be substituted with crushed cornflakes.

[Things to prepare]

・Fukumame 30g

・Marshmallow 30-40g

・Fruit granola 25-30g

・8g butter

First, heat the butter in a frying pan. Add the marshmallows and melt, being careful not to burn them.

Once the marshmallows are creamy, add all the fruit granola and fuku beans.

Keep the heat on low and stir with a spatula to coat everything.

Once the marshmallows are fully incorporated, turn off the heat and pour into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Spread it with a spatula to make it as flat as possible, then leave it at room temperature for about 30 to 40 minutes and it’s done!

Then use a knife to cut it into bite-sized pieces.

The crunchy texture of the fukumame was utilized, and it matched well with the marshmallows, making it very delicious.

As long as you were careful to cook on low heat to avoid burning, there were no particularly difficult steps.

An arranged recipe using leftover lucky beans. If you still have extra lucky beans, why not give this a try?
